HEI is the native cryptocurrency of Heima Network, serving as both the governance token and gas token. Users can participate in on-chain governance proposals and vote on network upgrades and strategic initiatives. Additionally, HEI facilitates transactions and interactions within the Heima ecosystem. The token operates on the Heima Parachain, Ethereum, and BNB Chain, with bridging options available for cross-network transfers.

Heima was founded by Hanwen Cheng, a software engineer with prior experience working on Polkadot's development. In 2020, Cheng initiated work on the Litentry Network, built using the Substrate framework. By 2025, his focus had shifted toward chain abstraction, leading to the evolution of Litentry into Heima Network to expand its capabilities.
