BASED is the utility token of the Based ecosystem. It is used in the Based app to unlock features and programme benefits, mainly through holding and staking. Uses include tiered reductions on Based’s platform fees for trading and prediction markets, staking-linked access and tiering for a Based Visa card where offered, eligibility gating for ecosystem programmes such as launchpool-style participation, token-linked credits for certain in-app features including AI-related consumption credits where supported and cross-chain transfer support across networks used by the ecosystem.

It is intended to let users trade via Hyperliquid’s infrastructure and use related in-app features such as prediction markets and card-linked spending where available.
