A trademark trial focused on non-fungible tokens (NFT) began Monday, pitting French luxury designer brand Hermès against NFT artist Mason Rothschild. Hermès claims the artist's "MetaBirkin" NFT collection allegedly infringed on its trademark, which depicts digital images of its well-known Birkin handbag.
