Crypto friendly congressman. Tom Emmer was the house speaker nominee for a single afternoon before reportedly giving up under opposition pressure within his party. Lawrence. What are your thoughts? What were your thoughts yesterday when this happened? I was very surprised to see that we are back at square one. I think more importantly than crypto friendly. Uh, uh, Tom Emmer. He was also first mover friendly, Tom Emmer. I mean, this guy was always, yeah, you know, he was always on, he's always on our show. Uh, I'd like, you know, let's please book him back again, get his take on it. You know, it would have been nice to have the house speaker on our speed dial. And, uh, I, I'm very sad about this now because, you know, I guess we got to wait for Warren Davidson or something to, to get the nod. Iii I in all seriousness, I don't, I don't know how this is going to resolve because there, there doesn't seem to be any, uh, consensus and any willingness on anybody's part to settle on a compromise candidate. Um, so far the can the person who's gotten the most votes was Kevin mccarthy right, 96% of the entire house Republican caucus voted for Kevin mccarthy, which is more than any other Republican has gotten. And, uh, that has not and look what happened to him. So I don't know how this ends. I don't know if it ends. Um, my, my bets right now would probably be that Hakeem Jeffries ends up being the house speaker. That's, I think where we're headed because you, you just get a bunch of Republicans to walk out of, uh, of the vote and that's all you need and you can get a majority for Hakeem Jeffries. I guess we'll have to wait and see before Emma stepped down. We spoke to a few different folks at the state of crypto event yesterday and there was some optimism in the era that we had a Republican nominee and that was very short lived as the news came out about Emer. But we'll have to wait and see.
