The government is set to reveal its regulatory package for crypto in the coming weeks.
Companies advertising crypto services have until May 2 to ensure their ads meet the new guidance.
The Advertising Standards Authority said the ads were irresponsible for trivializing investment in crypto assets.
Among the promotions cited by the ASA was Papa John’s, which said it was commemorating bitcoin’s pizza connection going back to May 2010.
The agency is flagging crypto as a "red alert."
