Over ons Sora

Sora (XOR) is a native token of the Sora ecosystem, designed to bridge multiple blockchains and enable interoperable transactions. It’s part of a decentralized autonomous economy (DAE) platform that provides tools for projects to operate and grow autonomously. XOR is used to facilitate transactions within the Sora ecosystem, including serving as a base currency for decentralized exchanges like Polkaswap, participating in governance decisions, and as a medium for payment or collateral in various DeFi applications. Sora and XOR were created by Makoto Takemiya and the Soramitsu team.

Token: Sora (XOR) is a native token of the Sora ecosystem. Acting as a medium of exchange within its network, XOR's utility derives from its design to bridge multiple blockchains and enable interoperable transactions. XOR's unique economic model aims to be a supranational currency, where its issuance and value are influenced by a democratic, decentralized decision-making process.

Platform/Project: Sora is a decentralized autonomous economy (DAE) platform. The overarching aim of the Sora platform is to provide tools and infrastructure for projects to operate and grow autonomously, decentralizing control and influence across its user base. One of the notable products built on Sora is the Polkaswap decentralized exchange, which leverages the interoperable nature of the Sora network. The project focuses on delivering a truly decentralized financial (DeFi) ecosystem by introducing innovations in cross-chain technology, governance, and monetary policies.

The primary use of XOR is to facilitate transactions within the Sora ecosystem. This includes serving as a base currency for decentralized exchanges like Polkaswap, participating in governance decisions, and as a medium for payment or collateral in various DeFi applications on the platform.

Sora and its XOR token were created by Makoto Takemiya and the Soramitsu team. Soramitsu is a project that has been involved in multiple blockchain initiatives across sectors, including collaborations with universities, financial institutions, and governments.
