Question 1

What is Wrapped Sonic (WS)?

Accepted Answer

Wrapped Sonic (WS) is an ERC-20 token representing the Sonic Layer-1 blockchain asset in EVM-compatible ecosystems. It enables interoperability by allowing Sonic-native assets to be accessed and used across Ethereum-based decentralized finance (DeFi) applications. WS is primarily used to bridge liquidity between the Sonic chain and external networks while preserving the value of the native Sonic token.

Question 2

What is WS used for?

Accepted Answer

* **Interoperability:** WS facilitates the use of Sonic-based assets within EVM-compatible blockchains.

* **DeFi Integration:** It can be traded, staked, or used in liquidity pools on decentralized exchanges that support ERC-20 tokens.

* **Liquidity Bridging:** WS supports the bridging of Sonic-native liquidity into broader DeFi environments, enhancing accessibility and usage.

Question 3

Who created Wrapped Sonic (WS)?

Accepted Answer

WS is a wrapped representation of Sonic, developed by the team behind the Sonic Layer-1 blockchain. While the core creators of Sonic are not publicly listed in standard sources, WS operates through official bridges and DEX integrations authorized by the Sonic protocol.
