Domande frequenti

The Winkyverse (WNK) is a metaverse project built by Mainbot, focused on combining education and gaming through emerging technologies. WNK is the platform’s native digital currency, deployed as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, and later extended to the Binance Smart Chain via cross-chain bridges.

The Winkyverse brings together robotics, artificial intelligence, blockchain, augmented reality, and game creation tools to offer a user-driven educational ecosystem. Players, educators, and developers can interact within a 3D open-world environment, using WNK for transactions, participation, and governance. The broader ecosystem also includes the Winky robot—an educational device sold in retail—which integrates into the metaverse.

WNK is the exclusive utility token within The Winkyverse and has multiple use cases:

  • Platform Access: Pay a one-time entry fee to access The Winkyverse.

  • In-game Economy: Used for purchasing premium games, avatars, and customisations.

  • Hardware Discounts: Buy the Winky robot and accessories with up to 50% discount using WNK.

  • Content Monetisation: Game developers and artists can be rewarded in WNK for their contributions via platforms like WinkyMaker.

  • Subscriptions and Advertising: Pay for premium subscriptions or in-app advertising.

  • Governance: Participate in platform decisions through a DAO structure.

  • NFT Integration: Used in minting, trading, and accessing benefits tied to the Winkyverse’s collection of 12,111 NFTs.

  • Staking and Yield: Holders can stake WNK for yield and access exclusive platform benefits and events.

The Winkyverse was created by Mainbot, a French company founded in 2016 and incubated at Ecole Polytechnique. Mainbot's initial product was the Winky robot, designed to teach children coding, robotics, and AI through interactive play.
