Question 1

What is VOOI (VOOI)?

Accepted Answer

VOOI is a chain-abstracted, self-custodial DeFi super application designed to unify perpetuals, spot trading, and yield allocation into a single, user-friendly interface. The protocol is structured into two main layers: a smart routing aggregator engine and a user-facing super app interface. The aggregator layer connects to both pool-based and orderbook (CLOB) venues across multiple chains, handling order sequencing, splitting, and settlement to optimise execution outcomes. The interface abstracts away network switching, bridging, and gas complexities, allowing users to interact through a unified portfolio view with a single balance model.

A central innovation in VOOI is the Chain-Abstracted Balance (CAB), a model that allows users to operate across chains (e.g. Solana, BNB Chain, Ethereum) as if their assets were on a single network. Cross-chain liquidity and account abstraction are handled in the background by infrastructure such as OneBalance and a stack of solvers. VOOI also incorporates smart accounts using ERC-4337 and EIP-7702, enabling policy-bound execution with session limits, sponsorship, and fallback mechanisms for enhanced user control and non-custodial integrity.

VOOI is currently available in two interface modes: VOOI Light (V2), which offers chain-abstracted, gas-sponsored trading, and VOOI Pro (V1), a professional interface for interacting with orderbook-based perpetuals. Both are powered by a shared aggregation engine that enables routing, cross-chain liquidity mobility, and real-time execution coordination. VOOI Light automates cross-chain steps without user intervention, while VOOI Pro offers more granular order control with low-latency execution for advanced users.

Question 2

What is VOOI (VOOI) used for?

Accepted Answer

VOOI serves as the governance and utility token within the VOOI Network. Its primary functions include:

- **Governance**: Token holders can vote on protocol changes, including fees, listings, routing logic, emission schedules, and platform development parameters.
- **User incentives**: VOOI tokens reward platform participation through structured airdrops, yield boosts, fee discounts, and other programme-based incentives.
- **Fee reductions**: Traders holding or staking VOOI can receive trading fee discounts based on activity tiers or staking durations.
- **Yield enhancements**: Locked or staked VOOI positions qualify for yield boosts on eligible strategies surfaced within the platform.
- **Early access**: Participants aligned with governance parameters gain priority access to pre-release features or new modules.

The VOOI token economy is based on a fixed-supply model with no inflation, structured to align incentives between contributors, users, and long-term ecosystem growth. The total supply is capped at 1,000,000,000 tokens, with emission governed by structured vesting schedules across airdrops, growth funds, contributors, and investors.

Question 3

Who created VOOI (VOOI)?

Accepted Answer

VOOI was co-founded by **Will K** and **Max M**, with contributions from developers and advisors with prior experience in DeFi infrastructure, aggregation protocols, and cross-chain tooling. The leadership is supported by stakeholders including contributors from the former **Symbiosis** project and DeFi aggregators, although the operational details are led by a product-focused technical team.

Question 4

How does the VOOI protocol work?

Accepted Answer

VOOI operates through a modular architecture designed to abstract chain complexity and unify liquidity access. Key components include:

- **VOOI Light**: Offers a simplified, chain-abstracted trading experience. Users operate through smart accounts with gas sponsored by paymasters. Actions such as opening a position or allocating yield are processed by solvers and OneBalance, which handle routing and liquidity mobility.
- **VOOI Pro**: Offers an advanced interface for professional traders. It uses intent-based liquidity flows to pre-stage collateral across multiple venues. It integrates smart order routing (SOR) for split orders, time-weighted execution, queue-aware sizing, and fee optimisation.
- **Solvers and OneBalance**: Solvers evaluate execution plans across venues, while OneBalance manages real-time liquidity rebalancing across chains to maintain a unified balance.
- **Security**: All user actions are signed EIP-712 intents with strict policy envelopes (bounds, expiry, nonce, fee limits). Smart accounts are protected through session controls, fallback EOAs, and decentralised key management.
