Sobre Space and Time

Space and Time (SXT Chain) is a decentralised data platform enabling ZK-proven SQL queries for onchain and offchain data, allowing smart contracts to securely process and verify large datasets. The native token, $SXT, is used for staking, query execution, and data insertion, supporting a decentralised economic model that incentivises data providers, validators, and developers.

Perguntas frequentes

Space and Time (SXT Chain) is a decentralised data platform designed to enable secure, verifiable data processing for smart contracts and decentralised applications. It introduces a system where data can be queried with cryptographic guarantees using a zero-knowledge (ZK) proof protocol known as Proof of SQL. This protocol enables smart contracts to verify the results of SQL queries against data stored offchain, without having to trust the infrastructure that processed the data.

SXT Chain functions as a decentralised, append-only database that incorporates blockchain indexing and supports both onchain and offchain data ingestion. The core infrastructure includes:

  • Indexer Nodes that extract and transform blockchain data into SQL-compatible formats.

  • Prover Nodes that process SQL queries and generate ZK proofs of query correctness and data integrity.

  • Validator Nodes that maintain tamperproof data commitments and provide consensus on inserted data.

This architecture enables developers to offload computation and storage to a decentralised backend, while maintaining the cryptographic integrity expected of onchain applications.

Key features include:

  • Decentralised storage and compute infrastructure

  • ZK-proven SQL queries compatible with EVM smart contracts

  • Support for onchain and offchain data in the same query layer

  • Integration across multiple blockchain networks (e.g. Ethereum, ZKsync, Sui)

  • A data model structured around relational databases with support for joins, filters, aggregations, and complex query logic

Space and Time also facilitates trust-minimised applications across DeFi, gaming, RWAs, and compliance by ensuring data and computations are provable and tamper-resistant.

The $SXT token is the native utility token of the SXT Chain and is required to participate in the core cryptographic and operational processes of the network. It underpins validator participation, query execution, and data availability mechanisms, aligning incentives across network participants.

Key roles of the token include:

  • Staking: Validators must stake SXT to operate on the network. This collateral can be slashed for downtime, incorrect query proofs, or failure to update commitments correctly.

  • Query and Data Fees: SXT is used to pay for ZK-proven query executions and data insertions. These fees are distributed among Validators and Table Owners who maintain and secure the data.

Incentives and Rewards:

  • Validators are compensated through block rewards and query fees.

  • Table Owners are paid for maintaining high-quality datasets that attract queries.

  • Delegated staking is also supported, allowing users to back Validators without running infrastructure.

Security Budget: A portion of network fees funds a vault used to support security and validator rewards, including slashing mechanics for enforcement.

The design promotes a decentralised and sustainable ecosystem where all contributors—whether providing compute, data, or capital—are rewarded proportionally to their input and performance.
