Question 1

What is Synthetix Network Token (Avalanche Bridge) (SNX.e)?

Accepted Answer

Synthetix Network Token (Avalanche Bridge) (SNX.e) is a version of the SNX token that has been bridged from the Ethereum blockchain to the Avalanche blockchain via the Avalanche Bridge. SNX is the native token of the Synthetix protocol, which facilitates the issuance of synthetic assets on the blockchain. The "e" in SNX.e signifies that this token was originally an ERC-20 token and has been adapted for use on the Avalanche network to take advantage of its low-cost, high-speed transaction capabilities.

Question 2

What is Synthetix Network Token (Avalanche Bridge) (SNX.e) used for?

Accepted Answer

SNX.e is used within the Avalanche ecosystem to participate in decentralized finance (DeFi) applications, particularly those that involve the trading and management of synthetic assets. It enables users to engage in liquidity provision, staking, and governance within the Synthetix protocol on Avalanche, benefiting from the network's efficient transaction processing and reduced operational costs. The token can also be transferred back to the Ethereum network via the bridge, where it can be converted back into the original SNX token.

Question 3

Who created Synthetix Network Token (Avalanche Bridge) (SNX.e)?

Accepted Answer

The transition of SNX to the Avalanche network, resulting in SNX.e, was facilitated by the Avalanche Bridge, developed by Ava Labs. This bridge employs advanced security measures to ensure the safe and efficient transfer of assets across blockchains, overseen by a consortium of trusted partners known as Wardens, who maintain the bridge’s security and operational standards.
