ShibaDoge (SHIBDOGE) is a cryptocurrency created on the Ethereum blockchain with the aim of uniting the communities of two prominent meme-inspired cryptocurrencies, Shiba Inu (SHIB) and Dogecoin (DOGE). Launched in December 2021, ShibaDoge is a community-driven project with a hyper-deflationary design. At launch, 50% of the token supply was burned to increase scarcity, and the project continues to implement token burns as part of its mechanism, intending to reduce supply over time and potentially increase token value.

ShibaDoge primarily seeks to foster a collaborative community among fans of both Shiba Inu and Dogecoin, aiming to merge at least 1% of their combined holders. Its utility lies in being a medium for creating awareness and supporting decentralised finance (DeFi) principles, aspiring to shift control of currency away from centralised entities to community-driven ecosystems. ShibaDoge also offers staking rewards and supports non-fungible token (NFT) initiatives, allowing users to stake tokens to receive rewards based on rarity factors of NFTs. The project also encourages the use of Ethereum-compatible wallets for transactions and token storage.
