About Resolv
RESOLV is the native governance and utility token of the Resolv protocol, which supports the issuance and stability of the USR stablecoin. RESOLV allows holders to vote on protocol changes, stake tokens for potential yield benefits, and engage in broader ecosystem incentives. The protocol maintains the USR peg through a delta-neutral strategy that hedges against volatility in ETH and BTC using short perpetual futures. RESOLV also contributes to the security of the protocol via staked insurance pools. Developed by Resolv Labs and incubated by Delphi Labs, the token plays a central role in the protocol's decentralised and overcollateralised stablecoin design.
RESOLV is the governance and utility token of the Resolv protocol, which issues USR, a stablecoin pegged to the US Dollar and backed by Ether (ETH) and Bitcoin (BTC). The protocol employs a delta-neutral strategy, combining spot positions with short perpetual futures to hedge against price volatility. This approach aims to maintain the stability of USR without relying on fiat reserves. To manage risks associated with this strategy, Resolv uses the Resolv Liquidity Pool (RLP), a tokenised insurance layer that absorbs potential losses, ensuring USR remains fully collateralised.
RESOLV serves multiple functions within the Resolv ecosystem:
Governance: Holders of RESOLV can participate in protocol governance, influencing decisions such as protocol parameters, integrations, and treasury management.
Staking: Users can stake RESOLV to receive stRESOLV, which may offer time-weighted staking multipliers, incentivising long-term commitment.
Ecosystem Participation: Staked RESOLV may be eligible for airdrops and other incentives from partner protocols, enhancing user engagement within the ecosystem.
Resolv was founded in 2023 by Ivan Kozlov, Fedor Chmilev, and Tim Shekikhachev. Kozlov, serving as CEO, brings experience from structured finance. Chmilev has a background in fintech, having worked at companies like Revolut. Shekikhachev has expertise in financial structuring from his tenure at the Credit Bank of Moscow. The team developed Resolv through the Delphi Labs accelerator, aiming to create a stablecoin protocol that offers crypto-native yield while maintaining stability and transparency.
