Question 1

What is Pons (PONS)?

Accepted Answer

Pons is a token launch and trading protocol on Robinhood Chain. The platform allows users to create fixed-supply tokens and trade them directly from their wallets without Pons taking custody of their assets.

PONS is the protocol’s reference token and was launched through an earlier version of the Pons factory. It has a fixed initial supply of 1 billion tokens and trades against WETH in a liquidity pool.

The Pons protocol later introduced a second version. In Pons v2, new tokens initially trade through a bonding curve before graduating to a Uniswap v4 pool with permanently locked liquidity. PONS predates this system and remains associated with the legacy launch mechanism.

Question 2

What is Pons (PONS) used for?

Accepted Answer

PONS is primarily tied to the economics of the Pons protocol. Under the legacy system, part of the protocol's revenue is used to buy PONS from its liquidity pool and send the purchased tokens to a burn address. This permanently removes those PONS from circulation.

PONS also acts as the protocol's reference asset and can be used by developers and data providers when working with Pons-related on-chain integrations.

Question 3

Who created Pons (PONS)?

Accepted Answer

PONS was launched through the Pons protocol's legacy factory. The platform and related services are operated by Pons Labs, LLC.
