Question 1

What is PONK (PONK)?

Accepted Answer

PONK is a community-driven meme cryptocurrency that operates on the Solana blockchain. Inspired by the success of BONK, a popular meme token on Solana associated with the viral internet dog meme of Balltze, PONK was created as a project to revitalise community interest in meme tokens on Solana. The coin draws from Japanese pop culture, specifically referencing "Pochita," a character from the manga Chainsaw Man, and leverages community sentiment by branding itself as a "second chance" at building a meme-driven financial movement.

Question 2

What is PONK (PONK) used for?

Accepted Answer

PONK is positioned as a purely meme-focused and community-centric cryptocurrency with no formal utility or function beyond entertainment and community participation. The creators explicitly state that PONK has no inherent use case or value proposition outside of the community's engagement and its meme status, with no financial gain expected from participation. By cultivating a narrative of resilience and independent community action, PONK attempts to attract members seeking an alternative, community-first approach to the meme coin ecosystem within the Solana network.
