Phoenix Finance (PHX) is a multi-chain DeFi protocol offering options trading, decentralised leveraged tokens, staking, and governance functionalities. Operating on Ethereum, Polygon, BSC, and Wanchain, it uses a single pool model for collateral management and options issuance. The PHX token is used for governance, reward distribution, and participation in staking and liquidity mining.

Phoenix Finance is a decentralised finance (DeFi) protocol that operates across multiple blockchain networks, including Ethereum, Polygon, Binance Smart Chain (BSC), and Wanchain. The platform focuses on crypto financial derivatives, offering users opportunities to trade options and decentralised leveraged tokens. It supports mining and staking activities, enabling participation in its ecosystem.

Phoenix Finance employs a unique Multi-Asset Single Pool (MASP) methodology, allowing users to write options for multiple assets from a single collateral pool. This design facilitates leveraged and hedged positions across various cryptocurrencies. Its decentralised leveraged token protocol offers simplified margin-free trading of leverage tokens, maintaining stable leverage ratios.

The platform’s ecosystem is powered by the PHX token, which is used for governance, liquidity mining, and reward distribution, among other functionalities.

Phoenix Finance provides several functionalities aimed at enhancing DeFi operations:

Options Trading: Users can write and trade options contracts for various crypto assets through the MASP framework.

Leveraged Tokens: The platform facilitates the creation and trading of decentralised leveraged tokens, which simplify leveraged trading by removing complexities like margin calls.

Staking and Liquidity Mining: Users can stake PHX tokens or participate in liquidity mining to earn rewards and contribute to the ecosystem's functionality.

Governance: PHX token holders participate in the decision-making process of the platform via governance votes. The governance system is currently in an interim phase, transitioning to full community control over time.

Although 'PHX' was the ticker assigned at the deployment of the Phoenix Finance Token's smart contract, it is already in use by another asset that has a larger market presence and higher trading volume on major exchanges. Due to this pre-existing association and to avoid confusion in the marketplace, the alternative ticker 'PHOENIX' has been adopted for this token. This designation is specifically used to ensure that assets are distinctly identified.
