Momentum

Momentum is a decentralised finance (DeFi) infrastructure protocol built on the Sui blockchain, designed to serve as a core liquidity engine and financial operating system for tokenised assets. It provides products that allow assets to be traded, staked, and managed with capital efficiency and institution‑grade scalability.

Key components include:

• Momentum DEX – a concentrated‑liquidity market maker that allows liquidity providers to allocate capital within targeted price ranges, improving efficiency and reducing slippage.
• MSafe – a multi‑signature treasury infrastructure built for Move‑based chains, enabling secure treasury management, vesting and on‑chain execution workflows.
• Cross‑Chain Integration – using the Wormhole messaging layer to support assets originating from other blockchains, enabling a wider universe of tokenised assets to flow into the ecosystem.

The protocol is governed by a vote‑escrow model (veMMT) that aligns incentives among traders, liquidity providers and token holders. Users lock MMT to receive veMMT, which grants governance rights and a share of protocol rewards.

Momentum (MMT) is the native token of the Momentum protocol. It serves both governance and utility functions within the ecosystem.

MMT is used to:

• Enable governance participation through veMMT: token holders lock MMT to obtain voting power over emission allocations and liquidity incentives.
• Facilitate liquidity incentives: liquidity providers on the DEX receive MMT emissions as part of the reward mechanism.
• Support protocol coordination: token holders vote on which pools receive incentives and influence the distribution of rewards.
• Access advanced features: token holders who lock MMT may gain access to yield multipliers or preferential reward structures.

The token operates within a framework designed to align stakeholder actions with long‑term network growth rather than short‑term speculation.
