What is Moby (MOBYONBASE) used for?

Accepted Answer

Moby (MOBYONBASE) aims to support the Base ecosystem by functioning as a token within the decentralised finance (DeFi) space. Its specific use cases and potential for adoption within applications or services on Base are closely linked to the network's growing infrastructure and user base. Moby also positions itself as a potential community and governance token within Base, fostering engagement and usage.

***Although 'MOBY' was the ticker assigned at the deployment of the Moby token's smart contract, it is already in use by another asset that has a larger market presence and higher trading volume on major exchanges. Due to this pre-existing association and to avoid confusion in the marketplace, the alternative ticker 'MOBYONBASE' has been adopted for this token. This designation is specifically used to ensure that assets are distinctly identified.***
