Question 1

What is Lympo?

Accepted Answer

Lympo is a blockchain-based ecosystem focused on the integration of sports-themed NFTs into gaming and metaverse environments. The platform develops and supports various GameFi applications that enable users to acquire, stake, and utilise NFTs within a broader digital sports framework.

Central to the Lympo ecosystem is the idea that NFTs should provide ongoing utility rather than act solely as collectibles. Lympo has created multiple products to support this goal, including:

* **NFT minting platform:** Users can generate NFTs by staking Lympo’s tokens.

* **NFT staking:** Users can stake their NFTs to earn ecosystem tokens.

* **Play-to-earn games:** NFTs are used within Lympo-developed games.

* **Metaverse integrations:** Some NFTs are compatible with virtual environments like The Sandbox.

* **Star tokens:** Fungible tokens linked to individual athletes that allow user engagement through votes and interactions.

Lympo operates on the Polygon network to provide low-cost, fast transactions, and its tokens are also bridged to Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain.

Question 2

What is LMT used for?

Accepted Answer

LMT (Lympo Market Token) is the play-to-earn currency within the Lympo ecosystem. It serves as an in-game utility token, enabling users to participate in upcoming Lympo-developed games and associated activities.

Primary uses include:

* **Gameplay access:** LMT can be used to enter certain games within the ecosystem.

* **NFT upgrades:** It may be spent to enhance or improve NFTs or in-game items.

* **Reward mechanism:** LMT is distributed to players as a reward for participation and achievement within Lympo games.

LMT is also used within the NFT staking platform, where it can be earned alongside other ecosystem tokens such as SPORT and LYM. The allocation and distribution of LMT are managed dynamically based on game development needs and user activity levels.

***Although 'LMT' was the ticker assigned at the deployment of the Lympo Market Token token's smart contract, it is in use by another asset that has a larger market presence and higher trading volume on major exchanges. Due to this association and to avoid confusion in the marketplace, the alternative ticker 'LYMPO' has been adopted for this token. This designation is specifically used to ensure that assets are distinctly identified.***
