Janction

Janction (JCT) is the native utility and governance token of Janction, a decentralised Layer 2 infrastructure for distributed AI compute, built on the Optimism OP Stack. The platform enables collaborative AI processing by integrating smart contracts with key AI functions such as GPU scheduling, model execution, data acquisition, and annotation. JCT is used for payments within the network, including compute time and model training, and can provide access benefits. GPU providers stake JCT to receive veJCT, a non-transferable credential that affects task allocation. Token holders use veJCT to participate in protocol governance, influence marketplace settings, and help allocate ecosystem funding. Contributors—including data providers, model developers, and node operators—receive JCT based on measurable system input. The token also facilitates bidding and settlement in the decentralised GPU marketplace.
