Gimmer (GIMMER) is an Ethereum-based token designed to power an automated trading platform that simplifies the process of crypto trading through bots. The token is used within the Gimmer ecosystem to unlock advanced trading features and services. The project was created by a team of experienced developers focused on enhancing the accessibility of automated trading tools.

Gimmer (GIMMER) is a cryptocurrency token built on the Ethereum blockchain. It was launched in May 2018 as the native token of the Gimmer platform, an automated cryptocurrency trading platform that allows users to create and use trading bots without requiring programming skills. Gimmer aims to simplify the trading process for both beginners and experienced traders by providing pre-built strategies and a marketplace where users can rent or purchase bot configurations.

GIMMER tokens are primarily used within the Gimmer platform to access various services and features. Users need to hold a certain amount of GIMMER tokens to unlock advanced features such as triangular arbitrage bots, AI bot creation, and portfolio management strategies. Additionally, GIMMER can be used to pay for bot rental fees, and access to the bot marketplace, and as a medium of exchange within the platform for various other services offered.

Gimmer was founded by a team of developers led by Pérsio Flexa, who serves as the Chief Information and Product Officer (CIPO). The team includes other full-stack developers such as Márcio Ribeiro and William Xavier, who have extensive experience in blockchain technology and cryptocurrency trading.

Although 'GMR' was the ticker assigned at the deployment of the Gimmer Token's smart contract, it is already in use by another asset that has a larger market presence and higher trading volume on major exchanges. Due to this pre-existing association and to avoid confusion in the marketplace, the alternative ticker 'GIMMER' has been adopted for this token. This designation is specifically used to ensure that assets are distinctly identified.
