Genius (GENIUS) is the utility token used within the Genius Terminal ecosystem, a cross-chain trading interface that routes swaps across multiple blockchains. GENIUS is issued on BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) with a fixed maximum supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens.

GENIUS is used alongside Genius Terminal account activity (such as trading volume and participation in rewards programmes) to determine user entitlements and fee treatment inside the product.

GENIUS is used for three main functions inside the Genius Terminal ecosystem:

• Trading fee discounts Holding and locking (staking) GENIUS can unlock fee discounts on trades executed through the Genius Terminal. Discount levels are tied to the amount of GENIUS locked and the lock duration.

• Rewards and token distribution programmes GENIUS is used as the payout asset for rewards programmes linked to user activity. These programmes have used a points system where points earned from activity translate into a GENIUS allocation. Distribution mechanics can include choices between claiming a reduced amount immediately or locking tokens for a set period to receive a larger allocation later.

• User tiering and incentives Genius Terminal also applies volume-based tiering (monthly trading volume bands) that affects base trading fees. GENIUS holdings and locks are used alongside these tiers to determine the final effective fee level for an account.
