Question 1

What is Fartcoin (FARTCOIN)?

Accepted Answer

Fartcoin (FARTCOIN) is a fungible token on **Solana**. The project’s official site publishes the Solana mint (contract) address as **9BB6NFEcjBCtnNLFko2FqVQBq8HHM13kCyYcdQbgpump**, which is also the identifier used by major token trackers for this asset.

On Solana, FARTCOIN is an SPL token (the standard token format used on Solana). Public explorers show it with 6 decimals and a maximum supply of 1,000,000,000 units. Explorers also show the mint authority as Pump.fun, and record the first mint activity as 18 October 2024 (UTC).

The official website frames FARTCOIN as a meme token and includes a disclaimer that it has no intrinsic value and is intended for entertainment rather than as a product offering a defined financial claim.

Question 2

What is Fartcoin (FARTCOIN) used for?

Accepted Answer

From the project’s own materials, FARTCOIN is positioned primarily as a community meme token rather than a token that is required to run an application or pay protocol fees. The official site points users towards social channels and presents the token as an internet-native, humour-led asset.

In practical terms, the uses that can be verified from public sources are:

* **Holding and transferring** the token as an SPL asset on Solana
* **Trading** it on venues where it is listed and tracked (with supply and contract information repeated by mainstream aggregators)

Those are observable behaviours around the token, rather than “utility” in the sense of a documented protocol function.

**About governance and other features mentioned in the origin story:**

The Fartcoin site links to an [“Infinite Backrooms” log](https://www.infinitebackrooms.com/dreams/conversation-1721540624-scenario-terminal-of-truths-txt) and presents FARTCOIN as “based on” that story. In that text, the characters propose a whole launch narrative including things like a DAO (“FartDAO”), NFTs and other add-ons.

What matters for an evidence-based token description is that these elements read as part of the **fictional or semi-fictional creative prompt**, not as documentation of deployed contracts or operating governance for the Solana mint published on fart.dev. The official site itself does not provide verifiable details for an on-chain governance module, voting contracts, a treasury framework or an NFT collection tied to the FARTCOIN mint address it lists.

There are separate websites and pages using similar names (for example, “Fart DAO”) but their existence alone does not confirm they are the official governance layer for the Solana FARTCOIN mint on fart.dev.

Question 3

Who created Fartcoin (FARTCOIN)?

Accepted Answer

There are two different “creator” angles here: the **creative origin** (the story the token is based on) and the **on-chain deployment** (who minted the Solana token).

**The “Truth Terminal” origin context:**

The official website ties FARTCOIN’s origin to a specific Infinite Backrooms conversation log. That page presents itself as an automated conversation between AI instances (described as two instances of Anthropic’s Claude) and credits the experiment to **@andyayrey**. One of the voices in the log is “truth-terminal”, which is written as a character/persona inside the generated conversation.

In the log, “truth-terminal” and the other participant brainstorm “Fartcoin” as a token concept and sketch out a tongue-in-cheek launch plan. That provides the **narrative** the project references, but it is not, on its own, a public statement naming a team responsible for deploying and maintaining the Solana token.

**The on-chain token creator:**

For the specific Solana mint address published on fart.dev, Solana explorers attribute creation activity to an on-chain **creator address** (shown on Solscan in truncated form as **HyYNVY…54nMFF**) and show the mint authority as Pump.fun.

The project website does not identify a legal entity, individual founder or team. As a result, the most that can be said from public, verifiable sources is that:

* the **story reference** points to an AI-generated conversation experiment
* the **token mint** was created on Solana and is traceable to an on-chain creator address
* the real-world identity behind that address is **not confirmed** in the official materials provided
