About Ethernity
Ethernity (ETNY) powers the Ethernity CLOUD platform, a decentralised cloud computing system prioritising privacy, anonymity, and continuous availability. The platform is currently undergoing a migration process to transition from ETNY to ECLD as the primary token. However, the migration is not yet complete, and both ETNY and ECLD tokens remain active within the ecosystem. ETNY continues to play a crucial role in supporting payments, staking, and developer incentives. The platform was founded by Iosif Peterfi and is backed by a team with extensive expertise in cloud computing, blockchain, and secure systems.
Ethernity (ETNY) is the native token of the Ethernity CLOUD platform, a decentralised confidential computing solution. The platform replaces traditional centralised cloud systems with a decentralised architecture, where data and applications are encrypted and hosted across a distributed network of nodes governed by smart contracts. This ensures privacy, anonymity, and continuous availability. The system leverages open-source technologies for transparency and user adoption.
The platform is currently in a transition process, with ETNY and ECLD tokens both in use. ECLD is set to replace ETNY as the platform's primary token once the migration process is fully completed.

Ethernity CLOUD was founded by Iosif Peterfi, a technology visionary with over two decades of experience, including roles at the U.S. Department of Defense and Max Planck Digital Library. The core team also includes:
- Ioan Munteanu: The COO, specialising in operational activities and community management.
- Andreas Stavropoulos: The CTO, bringing over 30 years of experience in technological innovation for institutions such as the Greek Parliament and London Subway.
This experienced team, with a strong background in cloud computing, blockchain, and secure systems, drives the development of the Ethernity CLOUD platform. Ethernity CLOUD Ltd., a Malta-registered entity, oversees the project, with significant milestones like the 2017 whitepaper, the 2020 testnet launch, and ongoing development towards full decentralisation.
