Question 1

What is Ether.Fi Liquid ETH (LIQUIDETH)?

Accepted Answer

LIQUIDETH is a liquid staking derivative token issued by the protocol Ether.fi. It represents ETH deposited into the Ether.fi staking and restaking system. According to IQ.Wiki, when you deposit ETH into the protocol you receive LIQUIDETH, which reflects your claim on the staked ETH plus any accrued protocol‑yield.

**Key Features**

* Non‑custodial staking: Ether.fi allows users to stake ETH while maintaining certain ownership/validator credentials rather than fully relying on the protocol as custodian.

* Liquidity of staked assets: Because LIQUIDETH is tradeable and usable in DeFi, users do not have to lock up their value indefinitely to earn staking rewards.

* Yield stacking: Staked ETH via Ether.fi is restaked (via EigenLayer and other services) to capture extra rewards beyond the base staking yield.

* Elastic supply token: LIQUIDETH supply adjusts based on deposits/withdrawals of ETH.

Question 2

What is LIQUIDETH used for?

Accepted Answer

When you hold LIQUIDETH you are indirectly participating in ETH staking and restaking via Ether.fi. The deposited ETH is staked on the Ethereum network, then potentially restaked via protocols like EigenLayer to capture additional yield. Because LIQUIDETH remains liquid (i.e., tradeable or deployable in DeFi) the token gives users the flexibility to use the value of their staked ETH without sacrificing reward accrual.

Question 3

Who created LIQUIDETH?

Accepted Answer

LIQUIDETH was created by Ether.fi, a protocol built on Ethereum that offers non‑custodial, liquid staking and restaking services. Ether.fi emphasises that users retain control of validator keys (via Distributed Validator Technology) and integrates restaking of ETH for additional yield.
The LIQUIDETH token is part of the broader Ether.fi ecosystem.
