About Ethernity Chain
Ethernity Chain is a community-oriented platform that produces limited edition authenticated NFTs and trading cards created by artists and endorsed by notable figures. Built on the Ethereum Network, it aims to build the biggest A-NFT library, reward its creators and raise funds for charitable causes forever.
Ethernity Chain (ERN) was the native utility token of the Ethernity Chain platform, which focused on creating authenticated non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in collaboration with prominent figures and brands. The platform offered limited edition NFTs, referred to as authenticated NFTs (aNFTs), based on licensed intellectual property from sectors such as sports, entertainment, and art.
The ERN token had several uses within the Ethernity Chain ecosystem:
Purchasing NFTs: ERN was used to buy aNFTs on the Ethernity marketplace.
Staking and Farming: Token holders could stake ERN to earn rewards, including additional tokens and exclusive NFTs.
Governance: ERN holders could participate in governance decisions regarding the platform’s development and operations.
Liquidity Provision: Users could provide ERN liquidity on decentralised exchanges, earning rewards in return.
Ethernity Chain was founded by Nick Rose Ntertsas, a blockchain entrepreneur and investor.
In early 2025, Ethernity Chain rebranded and transitioned into Epic Chain (EPIC) following a community vote. The move marked a shift from a platform for authenticated NFTs to a broader Layer 2 blockchain solution built for the entertainment industry. Epic Chain incorporates enhanced scalability and features such as AI-powered content protection and simplified token creation tools.
Although 'ERN' was the ticker assigned at the deployment of the Ethernity Chain Token's smart contract, it is already in use by another asset that has a larger market presence and higher trading volume on major exchanges. Due to this pre-existing association and to avoid confusion in the marketplace, the alternative ticker 'ETHERNITY' has been adopted for this token. This designation is specifically used to ensure that assets are distinctly identified.
