Question 1

What is Deutsche Mark (DDM)?

Accepted Answer

Deutsche Mark (DDM) is a stablecoin designed to maintain a 1:1 value with fiat currency through reserves held in audited financial institutions. It operates on the Polygon blockchain, providing fast and low-cost transactions. The project ensures transparency and security using smart contracts and an independent proof-of-reserves system that verifies the cash backing for each token.

The issuance of DDM is strictly controlled to prevent inflation and maintain stability. State Digital Bank (SDB) oversees the management of fiat reserves and coin issuance, with its credibility currently under regulatory review. The project follows anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism financing (CTF) regulations, with compliance measures audited by independent financial institutions.
