Bubblemaps (BMT) is the native utility and governance token of the Bubblemaps platform, which visualizes blockchain data to uncover token distribution patterns. It also acts as an incentive layer, rewarding users who contribute to community-driven investigations. Bubblemaps (BMT) is the native utility token of the Bubblemaps platform, a blockchain analytics tool that visualizes on-chain data by mapping token distributions and relationships between wallet addresses. The platform focuses on simplifying complex blockchain data through visualizations, enabling users to detect patterns and potential risks such as bundled memecoin holdings or undisclosed celebrity wallet activity. BMT operates on both Solana (SPL) and BNB Chain (BEP-20) and is implemented as an Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT) using LayerZero infrastructure for cross-chain interoperability.
BMT powers key functionalities within the Bubblemaps ecosystem, especially on the Intel Desk, a platform for community-led blockchain investigations. Token holders can submit new cases, vote on which investigations to prioritize, and allocate voting power to guide investigative resources. Holding BMT also grants access to advanced analytics features, including cluster interpretation, profit and loss computation, and expanded views such as maps of the top 1,000 token holders and cross-chain activity.
In addition to these utilities, BMT serves as an incentive mechanism. Users who actively contribute by proposing cases, voting, or supporting investigations are rewarded through the platform’s native incentive structure.
Bubblemaps was originally launched under the name "Moonlight" in 2021, offering on-chain analytics and trading tools on BNB Chain. The project was later rebranded to Bubblemaps to focus entirely on visual on-chain data analytics.
