Squirrel Finance (BONESV1) is a cryptocurrency token that operates on the Binance Smart Chain (BEP-20). Launched in September 2020, it is designed as part of a decentralised finance (DeFi) ecosystem with a focus on yield farming and providing secure financial services to its users. Squirrel Finance aims to simplify DeFi participation by offering easy-to-use tools and solutions, including automated yield generation and decentralised insurance services to protect users against losses from smart contract vulnerabilities, commonly known as "rug pulls."

Question 2

What is Squirrel Finance (BONESV1) used for?

Accepted Answer

Squirrel Finance (BONESV1) is primarily used within its ecosystem to participate in yield farming and other DeFi activities. Users can stake BONESV1 tokens to earn yields or use them to purchase insurance policies within the platform's decentralised insurance system. This insurance service compensates users if their assets are lost or stolen due to smart contract failures, providing an added layer of security in the volatile DeFi space. Additionally, BONESV1 tokens are used for governance, allowing holders to vote on protocol changes and future developments within the Squirrel Finance ecosystem.
