Question 1

What is Artrade (ATR)?

Accepted Answer

Artrade (ATR) is a blockchain-based platform aimed at transforming the art market by leveraging technologies like blockchain and NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens). Its mission is to address challenges in art transactions, such as trust, transparency, and liquidity. By utilising blockchain, Artrade creates a decentralised, immutable ledger for recording art transactions, removing intermediaries and ensuring secure, traceable, and transparent exchanges.

The platform incorporates features like NFC chips for physical artworks, fractionalisation of high-value art (enabling broader access through the trading of shares in artworks), and the REAL Protocol for authenticating physical art linked to NFTs. Artrade operates on the Solana blockchain, known for its scalability, low energy consumption, and fast transaction speeds. ATR is the platform's native utility token, used for staking, governance, cashback on art transactions, and accessing exclusive platform features.
