About Almanak
ALMANAK is the native token of Almanak, a decentralised platform that enables users to build, optimise, and deploy AI-powered financial strategies. The system operates through a coordinated swarm of AI Agents that assist users across the full lifecycle of strategy development, including ideation, testing, optimisation, and deployment. The platform is designed to be non-custodial and permissionless, giving users control over their assets while interacting with advanced infrastructure and agent tooling.
The token is used to facilitate coordination across the ecosystem by aligning incentives between core participants, including strategy curators, liquidity providers, and governance members.
ALMANAK serves multiple roles in the Almanak ecosystem:
Incentives: It rewards curators who design and deploy high-performing strategies and liquidity providers who allocate capital to those vaults. Rewards are based on returns and capital efficiency.
Governance: Token holders can stake ALMANAK to gain veTokens, which grant voting rights on emission schedules, treasury distribution, and protocol parameters.
Emission steering: External protocols can stake tokens to vote for emissions to be directed to specific vaults that interact with their smart contracts. This mechanism is based on a bribe model used to attract agent-driven activity.
Platform access: Stakers receive discounts on the computing infrastructure required to run AI Agents. Staking is also required to launch or manage vaults, creating a commitment model for curators.
Almanak was founded by:
- Michael Herzyk, Co-Founder and CEO
- Lukas Napiorkowski, Co-Founder
- Lars Suanet, Co-Founder and CTO
The founding team brings experience across artificial intelligence, financial infrastructure, and decentralised systems. Almanak was created to make institutional-grade strategy automation accessible in open financial markets, combining AI Agents with a decentralised governance model and permissionless execution environment.
