A recent crypto compensation report from Dragonfly surveyed 49 portfolio companies in 2023, and found that most crypto companies are paying employees in fiat over crypto.

Dragonfly's recent crypto compensation report surveyed 49 portfolio companies across 2023 and found that most crypto companies are paying employees in fiat over crypto. Us based companies were more likely to pay contractors in crypto like us DC, especially if those contractors were internationally based. Whereas international based companies were more open to paying international employees in crypto. But if they had us employees or contractors, the majority still paid in fiat. The firm said in the report that companies often pay with crypto internationally to streamline cross border transactions and mitigate exchange rate fluctuations.
