About STEPN
Green Metaverse Token (GMT) is the governance token of STEPN, a Web 3.0 metaverse. It exists on Solana, Binance Smart Chain, and Ethereum and allows users to participate in platform governance and earn rewards. GMT holders can vote on governance and stake tokens to earn more GMT. They can also use GMT to buy items in the STEPN marketplace. Created by Find Satoshi Lab, GMT is a multi-chain token that aims to bring the move&earn concept to life.
STEPN (GMT) is a unique Web3 lifestyle application that integrates Game-Fi and Social-Fi elements, centered around the daily activity of moving, such as walking, jogging, or running. It stands out as the first project to successfully implement a "move&earn" concept, earning recognition by finishing 4th in the Solana Ignition Hackathon 2021. In STEPN, users equip themselves with Sneakers, represented as NFTs, and earn game currency through physical movement, which can be used within the game or cashed out for profit. STEPN's Green Metaverse Token (GMT) is its governance token, existing on multiple blockchains including Solana, Binance Smart Chain, and Ethereum.
STEPN was developed by Find Satoshi Lab, an Australian fintech firm. Co-founders Jerry Huang and Yawn Rong spearheaded the creation of STEPN on the Solana blockchain. The development team aimed to merge health, environmental consciousness, and Web 3.0 accessibility through this innovative platform.
