About RAGE
Rage Trade is a composable, multi-chain perpetual protocol that leverages recycled LP liquidity and advanced vAMM models to deliver high-capactiy ETH trading with reduced slippage and greater fee efficiency. Its RAGE token powers incentives, future governance functionality, and ecosystem growth within a governance-minimised, rule-based framework.
Rage Trade is a decentralised derivatives platform focused on perpetual swaps, initially launched on Arbitrum. It is designed to offer efficient, composable access to leverage trading by combining cross-chain liquidity aggregation with novel liquidity provisioning mechanisms. At its core, Rage Trade introduces a dual-vault strategy system and employs Uniswap v3 infrastructure to build a modular, capital-efficient derivatives protocol.
The platform supports permissionless listing of perp markets, risk-managed vaults for liquidity providers, and a cross-margin trading engine. Its architecture is designed to facilitate participation from both traders and liquidity providers, with risk controls and oracle mechanisms ensuring consistent market integrity.
RAGE is the native utility and governance token of the Rage Trade ecosystem. It serves the following functions:
- Governance: Token holders can vote on protocol upgrades, risk parameters, and strategic vault configurations.
- Staking: RAGE can be staked to earn protocol revenue and support long-term ecosystem alignment.
- Incentive alignment: Liquidity providers and vault participants may receive RAGE as a reward for contributing to the ecosystem.
- Fee rebates: Certain fee structures can be offset or discounted based on RAGE staking or usage.
Rage Trade was developed by a pseudonymous team led by the founder known as "0xTrent," a known contributor in the DeFi derivatives space. The project launched its initial product suite on Arbitrum and operates as a decentralised protocol.
Uni v3 Vaults: Rage Trade builds non-directional, actively managed liquidity strategies on top of Uniswap v3. These vaults use concentrated liquidity positions optimised for perpetual swap support.
80/20 Vault Structure: Vaults typically follow an 80/20 allocation split, with 80% of assets deployed into passive strategies (such as delta-neutral "0-volts") and 20% allocated to active or directional strategies ("1-volts"). This structure is intended to balance yield generation with risk control.
Recycled Liquidity Model: External DeFi liquidity is aggregated and routed into Rage vaults, allowing Rage Trade to bootstrap its ecosystem without relying solely on native liquidity.
Cross-Margin Trading: Traders can open and manage positions across multiple markets using a single collateral pool, increasing capital efficiency and reducing fragmentation.
Oracle and Settlement Systems: Oracle feeds are used to determine fair market prices for perp settlement and funding rate calculations, with multiple data sources reducing manipulation risk.
Risk Management Features: Vaults implement withdrawal queues, position caps, and risk isolation mechanisms to maintain systemic safety across the protocol.
Chain Compatibility: Initially deployed on Arbitrum, Rage Trade is EVM-compatible and designed for future multichain expansion.
