High Velocity BRLY (BRLV) is a non-rebasing stablecoin issued by Crown Digital and backed 1:1 by BRLY, which is itself collateralised with Brazilian sovereign debt. BRLV is created by wrapping BRLY and is designed for stable payments, DeFi integrations, and high-frequency transactions. It maintains a consistent BRL peg by redirecting the yield generated from BRLY to a separate institutional rewards mechanism, ensuring BRLV’s value remains constant. The structure supports regulatory compliance by separating remuneration from the user-facing token layer. BRLV operates on Ethereum Layer 2 (Base) and uses modified ERC-20 standards. It is intended for use by merchants, payment service providers, and institutional actors needing a stable BRL-denominated asset on-chain. The token forms part of a broader architecture built around transparency, full collateralisation, and a bankruptcy-remote reserve structure.

High Velocity BRLY (BRLV) is a non-rebasing stablecoin issued by Crown Digital as part of a broader ecosystem of Brazilian real (BRL)-denominated digital assets. It is backed 1:1 by BRLY (BRL Yield), which is fully collateralised with Brazilian sovereign debt. BRLV is created by wrapping BRLY and is designed to serve as a stable, non-volatile on-chain representation of the BRL.

BRLV is deployed on Base, an Ethereum Layer 2 network, and follows the ERC-20 standard with modified logic to redirect the yield from the underlying BRLY. It does not pass through yield to users but instead holds rebase-generated value in a separate mechanism for potential distribution to eligible institutional participants.

High Velocity BRLY (BRLV) is used primarily for payments, transactions, and DeFi integrations that require a stable BRL-denominated token. Its non-rebasing structure ensures a consistent 1:1 peg to the Brazilian real, supporting use cases that demand stability and simplicity such as with merchants, payment service providers, and automated trading systems.

Although BRLV does not distribute rewards directly to holders, the underlying rebasing of BRLY accumulates value in a separate rewards mechanism. This allows institutional users to potentially benefit from the system's yield generation without affecting the transactional stability of BRLV.

High Velocity BRLY (BRLV) is issued by Crown Digital, a financial infrastructure company focused on tokenising the Brazilian real. The project was co-founded by:

  • John Delaney (CEO & Co-founder) – Former international finance lawyer and Web3 finance operator.
  • Vinicius Correa (Principal Engineer & Co-founder) – Experienced engineer with roles at Nubank and Pipo Saúde.
  • Alex Gorra (Founding Partner & Head of Ecosystem) – Veteran of BRL carry trade and institutional finance, with past roles at JP Morgan, Rothschild, and UBS.
  • Bruno “BL” Passos (COO) – Specialist in compliance, risk, and infrastructure with prior experience at Hashdex and Polo Capital.

Crown Digital is aligned with Brazil's virtual asset regulation and operates with a focus on full collateral backing, regulatory compliance, and institutional-grade security.
