Black Mirror is a licensed Web3 project that extends the themes of the television series into blockchain. The project explores ideas of social scoring, digital identity, and human behaviour under technological influence. It introduces a system called the Black Mirror Experience, where participants’ reputations are tracked and evaluated, shaping their access to content, community standing, and rewards.
At the centre of the design is Iris, an AI assistant that monitors both on-chain activity and social interactions. Iris assigns reputation scores, marks negative actions with stains, and rewards positive behaviour with badges and privileges. These scores directly affect what participants can unlock across the ecosystem, from exclusive drops to enhanced in-world experiences. The system mirrors the narratives of episodes such as “Nosedive” by turning reputation into a currency of its own.
MIRROR is the native token of the Black Mirror Experience. It serves as the medium of exchange and the measure of reputation within the ecosystem. Users receive MIRROR for actions that improve their standing, and the token is required to access features, claim rewards, and interact with Iris. It is also linked to a Social ID NFT that acts as a portable identity, carrying the record of a participant’s achievements, rewards, and penalties.
The token is designed for multi-chain deployment, including Ethereum, Solana, and Base. Distribution is carried out through airdrops, community engagement, and activity-based rewards. By tying MIRROR directly to reputation, the system makes each participant’s digital footprint visible, tradable, and consequential.
