bIB01 is an ERC-20 token that tracks short-term US Treasury bond exposure through a fully backed ETF. It offers compliant access to US Dollar-denominated government bonds onchain.
Backed IB01 $ Treasury Bond 0–1yr (bIB01) is a tokenised tracker certificate issued as an ERC-20 token. It follows the price of the iShares $ Treasury Bond 0–1yr UCITS ETF, which holds a portfolio of US Dollar-denominated short-term government bonds with maturities between zero and one year. bIB01 is part of Backed Finance’s fixed-income product suite and is fully backed 1:1 by the underlying ETF.
Backed offers two categories of instruments: bTokens and xStocks. Both are fully backed by the underlying security. bTokens include tokenised fixed-income and equity products, whereas xStocks specifically refer to tokenised individual stocks.
bIB01 enables onchain exposure to short-term US Treasury bonds. It provides eligible cryptocurrency market participants with regulatory-compliant access to US government debt, allowing them to deploy capital into fixed-income instruments via blockchain infrastructure. Investors can gain access to a low-duration, cash-equivalent position while maintaining transferability and transparency onchain.
bIB01 is issued by Backed Assets (JE) Limited and developed by Backed Finance AG. Its creation and ongoing operation are supported by regulated financial and infrastructure providers, including Alpaca Securities LLC, InCore Bank AG, Maerki Baumann & Co. AG, and Security Agent Services AG.
