Digital asset analytics firm Amberdata has raised $15 million in a Series A funding round that was led by Citigroup, the company announced Tuesday.

  • Other investors in the funding round included Franklin Templeton, Galaxy Digital, Rovida Kruptos Assets and executives at GoldenTree Asset Management.
  • Amberdata said it will use the funds to double its research and development headcount and expand its operations in the U.S. and internationally.
  • The digital asset analytics firm analyzes more than eight million blockchain network transactions and over $500 billion in trading activities daily.
  • “Data and insights will continue to play a pivotal role in creating transparency and strengthening risk management frameworks for digital assets,” Siris Singh, Americas head of markets strategic investments at Citigroup, said in a statement.
