Mark Cuban-Backed Unikrn Raises $31 Million in E-Sports Token Sale
Unikrn, an e-sports betting site, has raised roughly $31 million in an initial coin offering, or ICO.
Cuban believes WSB traders are applying the principles of the crypto world to the stock market.
"You can sell anything digital using NFT," says the Dallas Mavericks owner. "Virtual Mavs gear, sneakers, art, pictures, videos, experiences, anything our imagination can come up with."
The team will soon be accepting the crypto as part of a deal with payment services provider BitPay.
Unikrn, an e-sport betting firm that conducted an ICO last year, is now facing a class action suit accusing it of violating US securities law.
The Dallas Mavericks will begin accepting cryptocurrency payments during their next season, according to owner and investor Mark Cuban.
