Press Release

While Bitcoin and blockchain technologies are gaining traction in numerous industries, there are still many challenges to be overcome before Bitcoin is embraced by the masses. The automation industry is amongst those where you can scarcely find blockchain-fuelled solutions.

satoshkey, a Swiss based start-up, is aiming to bridge this gap by supplying a universal crypto currency switch that enables users to operate vending machines using blockchain technology. The device can be used for payments for anything from parking to sunbeds, campsites to carwashes, and even pay-as-you-go utility bills. The satoshkey switch is activated in just three simple steps and operates online with lan or wlan.

The company has been brought into existence by two Bitcoin enthusiasts with a background in business management, software and electrical engineering.

Of the company's plans, André Stucki, satoshkey co-founder, said: "We have learnt that the automation industry could deliver real benefits for people in countries where infrastructure is not fully developed. Therefore, we've decided to extend our focus to new markets where we feel satoshkey can really help people and make their lives easier. Besides that, we're building our distribution channels across the whole of Europe; and so we're now open to partnership proposals from legitimate partners."
