The CoinDesk Market Plus Stablecoin Index (CMIP) is a broad-based index designed to measure the market capitalization weighted performance of the digital asset market included in the CoinDesk Market Index plus eligible stablecoins that meet the minimum trading and exchange eligibility requirements.
The Index is based on the Digital Asset Classification Standard (DACS). To be eligible for inclusion in the CMIP, constituents must be included in DACS. For more information on DACS, including description and definitions, please refer to the DACS page.
The CMI family of indices functions as a benchmark for digital asset allocation models that guide investor decisions on how much to invest in each asset class. It delivers institutional quality intelligence to investors who can use them to develop strategies against market fluctuations and capture untapped opportunities in the investable digital asset market.
