How do I register for I.D.E.A.S. 2022 by CoinDesk?

What does my registration include?

The General Pass includes access to programming and activities Oct. 18-19, access to the meeting app and access to the cocktail networking party.

How will I know that I am registered?

Once you have been registered for the event, you will receive your registration confirmation by email. If you do not receive a registration confirmation email, please email events@coindesk.com.

Where does the event take place?

All activities will take place at Spring Studios in New York City. Please enter on Varick Street, between Laight Street and Beach Street.

How do I pick up my pass at the event?

Please bring your email confirmation or registration QR code to Event Registration. You must provide a government-issued photo ID at registration in order to collect registration materials. You must collect your own individual registration.

What if I’m unable to attend?

No refunds will be provided for cancellations. Please contact us at events@coindesk.com with any questions or concerns.

What if I have to transfer my registration?

Requests for transfers must be submitted in writing by Friday, Oct. 14, 2022, by emailing events@coindesk.com. All transfer requests are subject to a US$100 administrative fee plus an additional fees as a result of differences in the pass type.

Prohibited conduct?

CoinDesk reserves the right to exclude any prospective attendee who has engaged in prohibited conduct in prior conferences and events from registering or attending the event. Furthermore, CoinDesk reserves the right to cancel without refund any attendee's registration for the event if any attendee engages in such prohibited conduct. Details regarding prohibited conduct are available in the Terms and Conditions of Attendance.

Event Participationn

What does accessibility look like?

Elevators, ramps and handrails are spread throughout our facility. ADA-compliant elevators can be accessed at the 6 St. Johns Lane entrance, between the sidewalk and 1st floor lobby. ADA guests have access to all event floors; compliant restrooms are located on the 1st, 5th and 6th floors.

Badge ethics, counterfeiting and theft

Only persons registered for this event and wearing the proper badge will be admitted to the conference. For security and safety reasons, badges must be worn at all times.


Anyone found to be counterfeiting, copying or sharing conference name badges or using a guest badge when s/he is not eligible for a guest badge may be subject to sanctions up to and including removal from the event and will not be subject to any refunds or exchanges.

When and where is I.D.E.A.S. 2022 by CoinDesk?

The Event will take place from Tuesday, Oct. 18 to Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2022 at Spring Studios in New York City. Check http://www.coindesk.com/ideas for our most up-to-date map and information.

Is there a dress code?

Business appropriate attire is recommended.

Do I need a visa to attend the event?

The Visa Waiver Program (VWP) enables most citizens or nationals of participating countries to travel to the United States for tourism or business for stays of 90 days or less without first obtaining a visa, when they meet specific requirements. Travelers must have a valid Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) approval prior to travel. If you prefer to have a Visa in your passport, you may still apply for a visitor (B) Visa.

It is the sole responsibility of the attendee to take care of any government visa requirements. Attendees who require an entry visa should allow sufficient time for the application procedure. Attendees should contact the nearest embassy or consulate to determine the appropriate timing of their visa applications. Company will not contact embassies and consulates on behalf of visa applicants or provide any other assistance relating to visa issues. Failure to obtain a visa in advance of the event does not constitute a valid basis for obtaining a refund.

Will there be Wi-Fi at the event?

Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi will be available to all registered attendees. The Wi-Fi network username and password (if applicable) will be distributed through various materials and signage throughout the event.

What if I have to transfer my registration?

What if I misplace my personal belongings at the event?

Personal belongings such as briefcases, backpacks, purses, coats, book bags, laptops, tablets or mobile devices, etc. should not be left unattended in meeting rooms or public areas. These items are the responsibility of their owner and CoinDesk will not be held responsible for their safekeeping should they become lost or stolen. Additionally, any unattended items may be subject to removal by security upon being discovered. If you lose or find an item, please ask about the lost and found at registration during operating hours.

Will food be served?

Yes we will have breakfast and lunch options available. In addition, on day one there will be a happy hour.
