Tron founder Justin Sun responded by tweeting he would offer $60 a share, compared with Musk's $54.20.
“The strategy is about making the crypto industry bigger,” CEO Changpeng Zhao said.
The social trading platform will focus on cryptocurrencies and include a crypto wallet and crypto exchange with more than 50 assets.
The company said it held 125,051 bitcoins as of Feb. 14, the same as at the beginning of the month.
The gain was driven by increases in cryptocurrency prices and additional production facilities.
The estimate of $50 million is significantly lower than the $400 million identified by Chainalysis in a report released in January.
The rollout will start in Belgium and Bulgaria and expand throughout the bloc in coming weeks.
The $3.5 billion targeted for a crypto venture fund would be the industry's largest.
