Maya is a founder of an investment and advisory firm, OGroup. She brings expertise in digital transformation, helping legacy systems prepare for digital economy and digital workforce. Prior to OGroup, Maya was a CIO at General Electric in charge of Emerging Technologies (cloud, AI, blockchain, cyber security and how it impacts the workforce). Maya was a catalyst behind GE's engagement in pilots with blockchain in early 2015. She started her career in telecom and mobile payments across Africa, Latin America and southeast Asia, prompting her later to enter Bitcoin in 2010. She helped with a first bank that held Tether and is an early investor across exchanges and various projects in defi and fintech. Maya's experience spans across 12 countries navigating complex business and geopolitical. Maya is a thought leader in digital asset space and a recognized public speaker on topics of sustainable digital transformation and re skilling of workforce. She is on a board of CoinDesk and passionate about intersection of human behavior and blockchain and artificial intelligence enablers as well as longevity and wellness.
